Smith Schuneman, a distinguished educator and entrepreneur passed away Nov. 24, 2024, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Oct 29, 2024 · Ground was broken Monday evening for a major Arnolds Park housing development organized by Spirit of Okoboji. The housing development is located just east of the Emerald Hills Golf Course. The development covers 38 acres of land between the golf course and the Lower Gar Recreational Area. Site work is currently underway, including 97 lots for residency and new holes at the golf course.

Steve Dullard took the District 3 supervisors chair from incumbent Jeff Thee during the June 4 election, according to the unofficial election night results. Dullard received 167 votes for 63 percent of the vote. In comparison, Thee earned 94, or 37 percent, of the total 261 votes.
