#jrcrelease ✨This 3-finger sloth (Bradypus variegatus) was under our care a few weeks after she fell from a tree. She arrived with a strong trauma due to the great height from which she fell, and couldn't move well. Thanks to the veterinary care and the rehabilitation, she is now fully recovered and ready to go back up the trees. Hopefully, she will not fall again and enjoy her new home. 🥰 | Jaguar Rescue Center

El Perezoso de tres dedos o Pelejo (Bradypus variegatus) es una especie arborícola desdentada. Tiene unos 70 cm y un peso de entre 4 y 5 kg, y una musculatura que supone tan sólo una cuarta parte del peso total. Ello está relacionado con sus movimientos lentos especialmente en tierra, donde es ciertamente torpe. Curiosamente es un buen nadador capaz de cruzar ríos.
