Civil rights legend Rep. John Lewis has died at the age of 80. He was a leader and organizer of the Civil Rights Movement who coordinated and spoke at the 1963 March on Washington; was beaten by police as he marched for voting rights in Selma in 1965; and was instrumental in getting major anti-discrimination legislation passed. He represented Georgia as a U.S. congressman since 1986 and became known as 'the conscience of Congress.' He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year. He leaves us
