Princess Leia is a 12 weeks old puppy that was dumped on a road in rural Missouri, along with two of her sisters. Her condition tells us she was abused and neglected for a long time before she was dumped. Not only is her body emaciated, she struggles to walk because it hurts her. She has Ricketts in her right paw, and where the growth plate and joint connect in her left front paw is not developing and is swollen as a result. Both of these things are caused by severe lack of proper nutrition. The
