Four spiritual sites making up a creation story on the far south coast now have dual names, respecting ongoing Aboriginal connection to Country. The dual names are Gulaga for Mount Dromedary, Biamanga for Mumbulla Mountain, Barunguba for Montague Island, and Najanuka for Little Dromedary Mountain. The Yuin names were put forward by the Gulaga and Biamanga national parks joint management boards, with the Geographical Names Board consulting the community before officially assigning the dual names.
