An adult Toxorhynchites speciosus, the predatory mosquito. An adult can stand over a $2 coin without touching it. Larvae are equally huge. These native biocontrols feed on blood sucking mosquito larvae. Adult Toxorhynchites drink nectar. Occasionally they are attracted by night lights to come into the house.
