Get a sneak peek into how #saarang, one of India's oldest annual #cultural #festivals, has evolved over the years at a recently held showpiece at IIT Madras Heritage Centre. Known as 'Mardi Gras' during 1974-1995, and renamed as Saarang later, a host of events ranging from literary, creative, and performing arts to dance, music, proshows, world cultural shows, and spotlight have made the college festival extremely popular over the years. During the 1970s, it was celebrated as a 'Cultural Week'.
