A state of emergency has been declared by the Comox Valley Regional District. I was down at Maple Pool today checking in with residents and making sure Jin and Dali had what they needed. Courtenay Fire has been on site since 9 a.m. and will let me know if there is anything further our community can do to help. Maple Pool Campground and several properties on Stephen Road and Headquarters road are currently under evacuation. The dam is near capacity, but expected to subside. Please stay up to date
