Working alongside partners in the Safety Focused Performance Joint Venture (SFPJV) and Melbourne Water, Downer delivered major process improvements at the Yan Yean Treatment Plant. The Yan Yean Water Treatment Plant was first commissioned in 1994, to treat water harvested from the Yan Yean Reservoir – the oldest reservoir in Victoria. The upgrade has strengthened one of Victoria’s most important drinking water sources - supporting a cleaner, safer and more reliable supply for a growing Melbourne

Last week, we headed up the Taihape-Napier Road to see how the crew at Downer Group were getting on with the road repavement work they were doing. They utilised a method called Foam Bitumen Stabilisation, which sees the old road pavement broken down and reused for the new pavement.
