Fossil Creek and Bob Bear Trail (formerly Fossil Springs) are not the same! Both waterfalls are part of the Fossil Springs wilderness and are in the same area, but adventuring to each of these waterfalls requires a different route! Fossil Springs is now called Bob Bear Trail, and this is a 9 mile hike (roundtrip) to access the waterfall that includes the “toilet bowl” and the swimmable cave “grotto”.
