Sludge dewatering with geotextile containers/tubes

The Colgate Creek dewatering through geotubes in action. These geotubes (supplied by USS) are 75’ in circumference and range from 175’ to 400’ in length. The containment area is a reclaimed copper mine. The sediment from the river bottom is mixed with an approved flocculant (also provided by USS) and the tubes are filled.
