OK, so my chalk is technically gold and not white chalk, but you can use white gel food colour as a paint if you prefer the more traditional looking “chalk” effect ;) This was a happy little accident. I originally had the vision of creating a star meringue covered cake, but I really didn’t like the way it was developing. So I just grabbed my spatula and went to town. Most of the time, you just need to remain calm, and just trust that you can salvage a cake that seems to be going pear shaped. I k
