Beaver checks me out and decides I am not a threat! In this video from September, a beaver was about to get out of the water to look for a snack when it noticed me standing on the shore about 20 feet away. Finally! My first beaver sighting of Spring. This was the sight that greeted me when I got to the river to look for beavers last night. I was so thrilled to see this furry fellow heading upstream. I followed this beaver and realized there were two more beavers ahead of it upstream, including ChewBarka. For each of the last two evenings, the main scent mound was visited by a beaver that has a small triangular chunk missing from its tail.
